Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 6 governorship election in Anambra, Senator, Andy Uba has stated his determination to transform Anambra State in two weeks if elected.
Dr Uba said he will liberate Anambra and restore its lost glory.
Uba made the promise during the induction of Hon. Solomon Onwusika and his ‘Afa Igbo Bu Ofu’ group with “over 2000 members” into APC in Awka, Anambra capital.
He regretted the current state of Anambra, especially in the area of infrastructural development, saying he would project the state to limelight.
“With me as the governor of Anambra state , you will experience new things in a new Anambra. Anambra will be better and I know you will regret where you were before me,” he said.
He promised to attract federal government presence to the state through cordial relationship with the centre.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the state chairman of APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, said Anambra would be liberated under the party.
He said with what is happening in the state, there is need to connect it to the centre.
According to him, the influx of people from other parties into APC in the state was clear indication that Anambra people have endorsed the party.
