The incident was confirmed by Sa’idu Ibrahim, a member of the State House of Assembly from the Sabon Birni East seat.

Following their recent successful attacks on military units, the bandits are now targeting security formations in the area, according to the lawmaker.

“They are now hunting for security operatives since their morale has been strengthened by their recent attack on a military formation in Dama, which resulted in the deaths of several soldiers, police officers, and Civil Defense officers.

“As a result, they are now striking locations where they know military, police, or other paramilitary personnel are camped.

“They shot two people, one of them was a woman, and burned three others who were hiding in a grain store; one of them died quickly, while the other two are in the hospital,” he stated.
