Hollywood star, Michael K. Williams found dead

Michael Kenneth Williams, a well-known actor in Hollywood, has died. At the age of 54, he passed away on Monday afternoon.

According to the New York Police Department, the actor was discovered dead in his Brooklyn penthouse mansion.

Near his body, investigators allegedly discovered drug paraphernalia (perhaps heroine).

Marianna Shafran, his publicist, said the deceased’s family is seeking privacy as they grieve.

Williams was nominated for an Emmy in 2021 for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for his role as Montrose Freeman in HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

He played Bobby McCray in When They See Us and was most recognized for his performance as Omar Little on The Wire.

Williams was Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire for which he won a SAG Award for best ensemble.

Born in Flatbush, his earliest roles in the 1990s include Bullet and Mugshot.

HBO in a statement said they were devastated to learn of the passing of “a member of the family for more than 20 years”.
