President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to the family of Justice Mukhtar Hussain, the Presiding Justice of the Kano Division of the Court of Appeal.
Buhari lamented Justice Hussain’s death as a major loss to the country in a statement signed by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, and made available to Metro Times on Wednesday.
Hussain had left an indelible impression on Nigeria’s judicial, political, and administrative landscapes, according to the President.
“Justice Hussain’s death is a terrible loss to the country,” he remarked. His vast knowledge and strong conscience benefited the country’s jurisprudence, government, and politics.
“In the judicial, political, and administrative landscapes of the country, he has left an unmistakable mark.”
Buhari expressed his condolences to the government and people of Bauchi State, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), and the late jurist’s friends and associates.
The President also prayed to Allah for the souls of those who had died to be granted heaven.
