Infamous Abuja car thief arrested in Zamfara

Badawi Abdullahi Ahmed, 38, was detained by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command.

ASP Daniel Ndirpaya, a Police Public Relations Officer, stated in a statement that the known auto thief specialized in stealing cars from where they were parked.

Ahmed stole a blue Toyota Corolla with the registration number FKJ 625 DV from Aguiyi Ironsi street in Maitama, Abuja, in his most recent incident.

The culprit was pursued by police detectives from Maitama Division to Talata Mafara in Zamfara, where he was apprehended and arrested with the vehicle.

He was found with the car, two suspected master keys, and a bag containing mechanical tools.

Following the conclusion of the inquiry, the suspect will be arraigned in court.

FCT Commissioner of Police, Babaji Sunday advised citizens to fortify their vehicles with additional security measures.
