Abubakar Sani Bello, the Governor of Niger State, has approved a further reduction in tuition fees for Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, IBBUL students.
The governor made the announcement in a statement published by Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in Minna.
Returning students (indigenes) would be affected from N50,000 to N46,000, while new students (indigenes) will be affected from N95,000 to N86,000.
The governor made his decision after hearing from members of the State House of Assembly and other stakeholders, including the Students’ Union, according to the SSG.

The tuition fees for non-indigenous students (returning), new non-indigene students (non-indigene), new foreign students, and returning foreign students, according to the governor, remain constant.
