During a gunfight, the Delta State Police Command murdered a suspected armed robber.

DSP Bright Edafe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, stated this on Thursday in Asaba, the state capital.

“On September 22, 2021, while on a stop-and-search duty on the Benin/Asaba Road, Umunede, men of the Delta State Police Command Rapid Response Squad flagged down a Lexus 350 SUV with number plate WWR 343 MD, white in color, with three occupants,” he stated.

“When the suspects saw the operatives, they came to a halt, disembarked from the car, opened fire indiscriminately, and fled into the woods.
