Anambra state Government and its counterpart, Enugu state have defiled the order of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB on the pulling down of Nigerian flags on all the Biafran lands.

IPOB in its order released by the spokesperson, Emma Powerful said the pulling down of Nigerian flags would commence on the 25th of September, 2021.

Our correspondence who visited government facilities in Awka, Anambra State observed that Nigerian flags were flying at the strategy positioned they had been mounted.

It was also gathered that Enugu state government kept deaf ears on the order.

Though it was Monday,, our correspondence could not have asssess to most of the government facilities, as armed security were seen guiding every facilities, vis-a-vis fear of unknown gunmen.

When contacted, the Police Public Relation Officer DSP Tochukwu Ikenga said though he had not come across the order, but would remain mute until he would understudy the release.

Also, our efforts to reach the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, C.Don Adinuba proved abortive, as he said he was in a political meeting, strategising ahead of the November 6 Governorship election.

It was gathered that some private car owners still fly Nigerian flags, obviously, oblivious of the IPOB order.
