A Toyota Sienna rammed into motorists at Kudigbe, along Arigbajo, on the Lagos-Abeokuta highway, killing two people on Saturday.
The DAILY POST has learned that seven other people were injured in the crash.
The road crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE).
According to Akinbiyi, the sienna with the number KRD 900 GV collided with a Ford automobile with the registration number AAB 439 XB and a tricycle with the number AKM 791 VP.
He blamed the accident on the Sienna driver’s excessive speeding and loss of control.
The accident included ten people, five men and five women, according to reports.
“The Toyota Sienna driver was speeding and lost control while attempting to dodge a pothole, ramming into people waiting to board a bus to their destinations,” Akinbiyi added.
As a result, a minor and an elderly man were believed to have died, while seven others were injured, and one person was said to have escaped unharmed.
While stating that the injured victims had been transported to Ifo General Hospital, Akinbiyi implied that the deceased had been placed in the hospital’s morgue.
