Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki have been considered as viable presidential candidates.
This was revealed by Anthony Ehilebo, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Director of New Media, in an exclusive interview with DAILY POST.
Ehilebo claimed that Atiku, the PDP’s last presidential candidate, and Saraki have been preparing to take over Nigeria’s highest political office.
Both PDP chieftains, he said, have well-structured machineries in place and are quietly working toward their goals.
Despite their hushed presidential ambitions, Ehilebo stated that the PDP will make the final decision on who would be elected.
“Atiku is a plausible contender,” Ehilebo says, “but he may just be a victim of circumstances beyond his or anyone’s control.”
“Saraki is also a viable candidate, and he has been campaigning to become the party’s presidential candidate. The truth is, these guys have been working towards being president for a long time; it didn’t start today.
“So they’ve got their machines on the ground and are oiling them.” However, the party’s larger machinery would have the last word.”
Atiku and Saraki, on the other hand, have yet to openly declare their plans to run for president in 2023.
Despite the fact that his presidential campaign posters have been seen, Atiku has denied responsibility.
