Senator Samuel Anyanwu, who represented Imo East in the 8th Senate, urged Nigerians to take control of their own fates after seeing how the All Progressives Congress, APC, does not care about their security or welfare.
When the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gains power in Nigeria in 2023, the leader of the party in Imo State said plans were in high gear to combat insecurity in the country.
Anyanwu claimed that because the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is doing nothing to reassure Nigerians of appropriate security, the PDP has highlighted such a callous error that needs to be corrected immediately in order to restore public sanity and confidence.
He called the continuous killings of innocent people in the South East, including those of traditional rulers, “senseless, barbarous, sacrilegious, and unnecessary.”
“No right thinking human being of Igbo descent, regardless of the level of craziness, disagreement, or animosity, can raise a gun or any item against a traditional ruler who is highly venerated as custodians of culture, customs, and tradition,” he said.
“When strange things start to happen in our climate, it implies that things have come apart and the center can no longer hold.” ”
“The bottom line is that the APC has failed Nigerians, and the necessity for Nigerians to flush it out is unavoidable,” he stated. With our vote in 2023, we must indicate and express our dissatisfaction with them.”
