The All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in all 17 local government areas of Plateau State won chairmanship seats in the state’s council election on Saturday, March 19, 2021.
On Sunday, the Chairman of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, Fabian Ntung, declared all of the state’s council election results, explaining that all of the candidates running on the APC platform won.
He further stated that the APC candidates in the state’s 325 wards were elected to councillorship seats.
“The APC won all 17 local government chairperson seats, as well as 325 councillorship seats in the state,” he claimed.
According to the Metro Times, seven parties ran in the council election, but the largest opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), did not run.
