Lionel Messi, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has selected the two players for whom he will vote in this year’s Ballon d’ Or.
Messi announced his plans to nominate his Paris Saint-Germain teammates Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in an interview with France Football.
The Argentine skipper also hinted that he is considering the performances of Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich and Karim Benzema of Real Madrid this season.
“There are two players in my squad (PSG) that I will easily vote for – Ney and Kylian,” Messi stated.
“Then there’s Robert Lewandowski, who’s had a fantastic year.” There’s also Karim Benzema, who did a fantastic job.’
“We understand that titles are significant as well.”
Meanwhile, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Lewandowski, and Benzema were all included to the Ballon d’Or’s 30-man shortlist on Friday.
On November 29, the winner of this year’s Ballon d’Or will be announced.
