Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has returned to Nigeria.
After months of medical treatment, the former Lagos governor arrived in the state on Friday evening.
According to his media office, Tinubu was in London, United Kingdom, for surgery on his right knee and “rigorous post-surgical treatment.”
According to a statement released, the lawmaker has undergone no more medical procedures and has no plans to do so in the future, despite rumors to the contrary.
Tinubu’s recovery “has been without complication and ahead of plan by the attending surgeon,” according to the report.
Tinubu has fully recovered from his knee surgery, according to the report, and has pledged to continue working for good governance.
President Muhammadu Buhari was personally thanked by the APC stalwart for his visit and well wishes.
He also praised Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, governors, party leaders, the Northern Reps Caucus, and members of the Lagos House of Assembly, among others.
