Burial of billionaire businessman, Okunbo, begins today

As his burial ceremonies commence on Tuesday, the family of late business entrepreneur Capt. Hosa Okunbo has announced that all COVID-19 rules will be followed (today).

Mr Kingsley Okunbo, a senior member of the family, revealed this on Monday when explaining festivities around the billionaire’s funeral, noting that family and friends would pay respect on Tuesday and Wednesday.

“The funeral service will hold on Friday, while Saturday and Sunday are for social outing and thanksgiving service respectively,” the younger Okunbo said, flanked by the deceased’s daughter and wife of the Olu of Warri, Atuwatse III, Olori Atuwatse; his brother, Pastor Dadinson Okunbo, and sister, Edith Nwabuzor, as well as other family members.

While thanking the Edo State Government, Nigeria Petroleum Development Company, and the University of Benin Teaching Hospital for providing ambulances during the week-long funeral, he also thanked those who came to pay their respects to their brother, saying that “he is a heaven being” because of the kind of life he lived.
