The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been granted permission by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to admit only 5,000 fans to the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic on Thursday.
The game will be place at Surulere, Lagos, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The game will begin at 5 p.m. local time in West Africa.
Nigeria had already won one of their qualifiers at the venue, defeating Liberia 2-0, with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring both goals.
As the three-time African champions continue their quest to play in the World Cup in Qatar, Gernot Rohr will be counting on home advantage to secure three points against CAR.
The Super Eagles’ players and coaches will fly into Douala on Saturday morning for the rematch, which will begin at 2 p.m. Cameroon time on Sunday, and then return to Abuja immediately thereafter.
