Chiwetalu Agu finally released by Nigerian Army

The Nigerian Army has discharged renowned Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu.

Troops apprehended the actor for donning Biafra clothes.

When government police stopped him on Upper Iweka Road in Onitsha, he was apparently giving food with less fortunate people while dressed in Biafran regalia.

Two soldiers approached Agu and wrestled him to the ground before dragging him away.

The legendary actor was seized for inciting members of the public and soliciting support for the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, according to Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations (IPOB).

However, actress Chizzy Alichi reported he had been released in a post on her Instagram account about the actor’s arrest.
