The bodies of Mr. Michael Eso and Mrs. Oluwafisayo Deborah Eso, who were discovered on the floor of their dining room in Ilesa on Friday, October 1, 2021, have been buried.
On Thursday morning, they were buried in their home in Ireti Ayo, Ilesa, in the presence of their family, neighbors, and sympathisers.
Sympathizers described the pair as easygoing, hardworking, and God-fearing, and said their death was sudden and terrible.
They also stated that the deceased was in good health before going to bed on the eve of that terrible day, urging the authorities to investigate the reason of their deaths.
After a sad service, the Esos, who were 55 and 50 years old, were buried by their church, Last Days Deliverance Miracle Ministry, Agbala Irapada, Ilesa.
Last Friday, the couple was discovered dead in their residence, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths have sparked suspicion among Nigerians.
The Osun State Police Command spokeswoman, Yemisi Opalola, told DAILY POST that the command has begun inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the couple’s death.
The results of the autopsies would be made public, according to Opalola, so that justice might be served.
Meanwhile, the prime suspect in the deaths, a 13-year-old Beninese who was their house help, is in police custody and is helping the police with their investigation.
