Ibrahim Garba Musa, the permanent secretary at Niger ‘s ministry of transportation, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
He and his son were kidnapped in the early hours of Saturday, October 2, in the Zungeru district of the state, where they were attending a wedding ceremony.
The incident was confirmed by Mary Noel-Berje, the governor of the state’s top press secretary, Abubakar Sani Bello.
The governor also “decried the barbaric and heinous deeds of bandits recently in Shiroro and Munya Local Government Areas, where many villagers were slain, burned, and some kidnapped,” according to her.
His kidnapping comes just two months after Sani Idris, the state’s information commissioner, was kidnapped by suspected bandits.
