Andres Iniesta, a Barcelona great, has declared his desire to return to Camp Nou in the future.
Many things have changed at Barcelona, according to Iniesta, who currently plays for Vissel Kobe in Japan.
Barcelona is going through a difficult time both at home and abroad.
Ronald Koeman’s team have lost their past two games in LaLiga and the Champions League, respectively, to Atletico Madrid and Benfica.
However, Iniesta, 37, is optimistic that they can get back on track.
Iniesta told the BBC, “I will always see Barcelona in a positive light because I still see a different team.”
“Since then, a lot of things have changed. The players are obviously different, but there is still an idea, a concept.”
He continued, “Yes, it is something I wish to do [return to Barcelona].”
“I’d like that to happen because, above all, it’s the club where I spent so many years.
“You never know what will happen in the future; you never know how I will return or who will be in charge at any given time.
“However, if you ask me whether I want to, I will say yes.”
Iniesta played for Barcelona for 16 years.
Among his many achievements, the Spaniard earned nine LaLiga crowns and four Champions League titles.
