Joe Igbokwe, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has claimed that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is to blame for the violence in the Southeast.
Igbokwe made the remark in reaction to Senate Minority Leader Eyinnaya Abaribe’s criticism about the Southeast killings.
Nobody knows who is behind the bloodshed in the region, according to Abaribe.
Igbokwe responded by urging the Senator to be truthful in his remarks about the killings in the region.
In a Facebook post, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources, claimed that Abaribe is aware that IPOB members are responsible for the region’s killings.
“Senator Abaribe, please be aware that I am from the Southeast and a key player in the region and in Nigeria.
“You and I both know that IPOB is to blame for the atrocities in the Southeast.
“This is the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” says the narrator. Let us, for once, fear God and speak the truth in order to shame our adversaries,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the IPOB has maintained its denial that it is involved in the South-East violence.
