Tukur Hassan Dan-Ali , Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Katsina State Chapter, congratulated the newly elected NUJ National Executive members on their election during the 7th National Delegates Conference in Umuahia, Abia State capital.
On behalf of Katsina journalists, Dan-Ali voiced faith in the Chris Isiguzo-led team’s ability to propel the union’s activities to greater heights within the next three years.
In accordance with the union’s constitution, he also promised the Isiguzo-led national executives of the cooperation and allegiance of journalists in Katsina State.
“We especially congratulate Chief Chris Isiguzo, the union’s president, on his re-election as Nigeria’s top journalist for the next three years.”
“Journalists in Katsina State believe that the Chris Isiguzo/Alhassan team will continue to have a beneficial impact on the affairs of our great Union.”
“Journalists in Katsina State will stay steadfast in their support for the union’s constitution and leadership at all levels.”
“We are also optimistic that the tremendous achievements recorded during Chris Isiguzo’s first three years as NUJ president will triple in the next three years,” Dan-Ali remarked.
He also exhorted the newly elected national executives to carry out their responsibilities in the fear of God in order to justify the delegates’ trust in them during the recent election.
“We then counseled the new leaders to instill fear of Allah in all of their dealings in order to justify the trust placed in them.”
“We pray that Allah will guide them throughout their time in office and beyond.”
The recently elected zonal officers of the NUJ’s North/West Geopolitical Zone received a congratulatory greeting from the Katsina NUJ Council.
