Michael Owen, a former Real Madrid player, has predicted several of the English Premier League’s (EPL) games for this weekend.
On Sunday evening, Liverpool will host Manchester City at Anfield, while Manchester United will welcome Everton at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, Chelsea will host Southampton at Stamford Bridge, while Arsenal will travel to Brighton for a Premier League match on Saturday evening.
Owen told BetVictor about his predictions: “Everton haven’t won at Old Trafford since 2013, and I don’t think they’ll win this one either. Man United will win 3-1, according to my prediction.”
“Chelsea were underwhelming against Man City,” Owen stated of Chelsea’s play against Southampton. However, I thought they were a little too defensive against Man City and didn’t really put up a fight.
“The Saints have had some nice results this season against the big teams, with draws against City and United, but I don’t think they will achieve anything here. I believe Chelsea will be too strong for this game and will win comfortably.”
“Brighton have a history of being a bit of a bogey team for Arsenal, and the Seagulls are flying right now,” Owen remarked of the Brighton vs Arsenal match. I believe Brighton will win by a razor-thin margin.”
“Liverpool have an excellent record at Anfield against City,” Owen stated of the match between Liverpool and Manchester City. City’s triumph at Anfield last season was their first since 2003, and the Reds have had some notable victories in that time. I always like Liverpool in important games, so it’s no surprise that I’m going with a 2-1 Liverpool victory here!
