NSCDC confirms arrest of two robbery gang in Kwara community

At Ga Adabata, Temidire, in the Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, two alleged members of a robbery gang have been apprehended.

Local vigilantes apprehended some of them, but others managed to flee.

Babawale Zaid Afolabi, spokesman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Kwara State, verified this to reporters in Ilorin on Sunday.

“Reports of nefarious actions of suspected armed robbers in certain areas of Alapa town in the Asa local government area of the state,” he stated.

“The criminals liked to roam around with hazardous weapons, attacking innocent individuals and robbing them of their possessions.”

“One of these attacks occurred on Saturday night, when hoodlums attacked some persons with matchets and other hazardous weapons, stealing cash and other valuables from the victims.”

Two of the accused thieves were tracked down and apprehended by a local vigilante, while the others escaped, according to Babawale.
