Gunmen assaulted a market in Nigeria’s Sokoto state and set fire to a car, killing at least 20 people.
Local officials and a local member of parliament were mentioned by the news agency Reuters on Saturday.
Armed bandits on motorcycles opened fire intermittently, killing numerous individuals, according to Idris Gobir, a special adviser to the police minister in Sokoto.
He informed Reuters over the phone that at least 20 people had been slaughtered by a huge bunch of thieves. The bodies have been seen and counted. In addition, they set fire to nine automobiles.
