At Ngurore Police Station in Yola local government area of Adamawa State, a nursing mother was purportedly kidnapped by suspected kidnappers.
DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the State Police Public Relations Officer, informed reporters of the development on Sunday.
He confirmed that the alleged kidnappers stormed the police station around 2 a.m. on Sunday and took the nursing mother away, stressing that no one was injured in the incident.
“The criminals split into two groups; one assaulted the Police station to divert security personnel’ attention, while the other attacked Alhaji Umaru’s residence and kidnapped his wife, Hauwa Umaru, and her daughter,” he stated.
Mr Mohammed Barde, the state’s Commissioner of Police, has ordered the deployment of operational assets to Ngurore, including the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), Crack Squad, and Anti-Kidnapping teams, according to the PPRO.
DSP Suleiman Nguroje went on to say that operational units would conduct confidence-building patrols within the hotspots as part of coordinated actions to ensure that the kidnapped victims were rescued and the perpetrators were apprehended.
The commissioner told the command that it was dedicated to working with other patriotic stakeholders to restore public order in Ngurore and other parts of the state against underworld guys, according to the PPRO.

He stated that the leader of the Police Intervention Team, SP Babagana Abubakar, was already on the scene to coordinate police investigations and rescue operations in order to achieve the planned goals.
DSP Suleiman Ngoruje urged all citizens to conduct their daily lives in a peaceful and lawful manner, while also urging them to report any suspicious person(s) in their area to security forces.
