Former Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Inna Ciroma, has stated that Nigeria requires bold and sincere leaders such as Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State to help the country overcome its current issues.
When she received the governor and his entourage on a condolence visit in the nation’s capital, Abuja, the former Womens Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, addressed on Wednesday at her apartment.
According to her, the country is currently at a fork in the road, and it will need the fortitude of leaders like Governor Ortom and those who care about the country’s future to overcome the current issues that plague the entire country.
“I am confident that this country will overcome all of its issues if we have Governors like you, maybe two or three,” she remarked. As a result, I’m pleading with leaders like you to work together to save our country.
“We are at a fork in the road right now, and no one can deny that.” But it simply takes bold people who care about the country’s future.
“So, Your Excellency, you’re doing a fantastic job, and we’re all rooting for you to keep doing what you’re doing.” Nobody can and should frighten you,” Mrs Ciroma stated emphatically.
The former Minister said she was honored and happy to be affiliated with Ortom, especially after receiving him on Sunday.
She emphasized that her late husband, who stood for the truth as well, and that he would be delighted with Governor Ortom wherever he is now.
Governor Ortom added that, despite the lateness of his travel, he felt compelled to pay Mrs Ciroma a visit to express his condolences on the passing of her husband, whom he characterized as a “genuine nationalist who served Nigeria in numerous positions.”
