Saraki visit Ortom Samuel discus plans for 2023 presidency

Dr. Bukola Saraki, the former president of the Senate, paid a visit to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Tuesday to discuss his plans to run for president in 2023.

Following a closed-door meeting with Governor Ortom, Saraki met with members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) State Working Committee to brief them on his plans to begin talks for his bid to become President of the country.

He said the countrywide migration of party loyalists from the APC into the PDP was an indicator that there may not be anyone left in the party before the next election.

Saraki went on to say that the North Central Zone had paid its dues by working tirelessly to keep the country unified as one, and that “this time we must stand for our own and charity begins at home.”

Governor Ortom had earlier praised Saraki for being one of the many Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the country’s democratic progress.
