Zulum commissioin 4 projects out of 23 in Southern Borno

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum commissioned a freshly constructed mammoth-size Government Day Technical Secondary School in Wuyo, Bayo local government area, on the first day of his current commissioning tour of 23 projects in southern Borno. In the same LGA, he also commissioned three more projects.

On Tuesday, Zulum arrived in Biryel, Bayo’s headquarters, and spent the night there, meeting with commanders of security formations and community leaders.

During his morning activities at the Day Technical Secondary Schools, Zulum stated that his administration’s goal is to encourage students to combine learning with vocational training in order to develop entrepreneurial abilities.

Following the commissioning, the Governor distributed 300 bicycles to students from surrounding communities to help with mobility.

Aside from the day school, Zulum, also in Bayo LGA, commissioned two new Distinct Heads palaces in Biryel and Wuyo, the LGA’s second and third projects, respectively. The palaces will help civil administrations operate more efficiently.

Zulum directed that mosques be built for both palaces by the ministry of religious affairs.
The Governor’s fourth project was an integrated community islamic school, which is intended to provide youngsters from traditional islamic institutions with access to western education.

Before departing Bayo, Governor Zulum assessed the General Hospital in Biryel, which is the biggest in the LGA, and directed that needs requirement be submitted for him for rehabilitation work to commence.

Zulum also ordered the recruitment of additional doctors, nurses and other medical to enhance functionality of the hospital for improved healthcare delivery.

The Governor moved to Kwayakusar where he passed the night ahead of his second day of commissioning tour.
