The attorneys for Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, have stormed the Federal High Court in Abuja ahead of the court struggle for bail later today.
Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s legal team appeared at the court as early as 8 a.m., with over 50 others already inside.
Security is loosened from the Court’s main gate to the Court door, in contrast to past proceedings.
There has been nothing to suggest that Kanu, the IPOB leader, would be taken to court if his attorneys were not present.
It was unclear at the time of this story if the arrested Biafran leader would appear in court physically.
However, Metro Times has learned that Kanu’s bail motion would be heard by Justice Binta Nyako later in the day, after she has attended to other items on the docket.
Our correspondent also gathered that the Judge has instructed that the court room be cleaned before Kanu’s matter would be called.
