Tinubu’s Fuel Remarks, Naira Scarcity Caused Kano Stoning Incident, According to LP’s Kenneth Okonkwo Labour Party, LP, chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has accused All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Bola Tinubu of stoning President Muhammadu Buhari.
In Katsina and Kano States, angry citizens, mostly youths, attacked the President’s convoy and the helicopter that flew him.
Both the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have leveled counter-accusations, accusing the other of instigating the unrest.
Okonkwo responded by saying Tinubu has done more anti-party activities against the APC than any other member.
Okonkwo claimed that the former Lagos governor accused Nigeria’s president of sabotaging his ambition by exploiting fuel and naira scarcity.
“Buhari is now being stoned by citizens as a result of Tinubu’s remarks,”
The LP member took to Twitter.
He urged APC members to persuade Tinubu to “resign” in favor of Peter Obi, whom he described as a “competent man of character who will usher in a new Nigeria.”
Okonkwo, a lawyer and veteran Nollywood actor, is a spokesperson for the LP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC.
