Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal has won over the internet with his message to Muslims in honor of Ramadan.
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a time of reflection, fasting, and prayer.
During this time, Muslims are expected to refrain from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk, only breaking their fast after sunset.
This year’s holy period will last from March 22 to April 21.
Ronaldo, who has become Saudi Arabia’s unofficial ambassador, took advantage of the opportunity to wish them Ramadan Mubarak.
On Twitter, he wrote:
“All Muslims, Ramadan Mubarak.”
The tweet wowed his followers, and many thanked Ronaldo for the well-wish.
