Yobe State Government Reduces Civil Servants’ Working Hours

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has approved a change in official working hours in the public sector during the holy month of Ramadan.
This information is contained in a circular titled:

“ADJUSTMENT OF OFFICIAL WORKING HOURS DURING THE MONTH OF RAMADAN”, reference number GO/S/HOS/GEN/3/V.V 27th March, 2023; signed by Engr. Isyaka Alhaji Lawan on behalf of the Head of Service and made available to Damaturu newsmen.

According to the circular, civil servants should report to their duty posts from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays.

“This adjustment only applies to the month of Ramadan (fasting), and normal working hours resume immediately following the month of Ramadan,”

It stated.

Recall Governor Buni had congratulated the people of the state and the entire Muslim Ummah on the start of the Ramadan fast, urging them to seek Allah’s forgiveness, internalize Ramadan’s teachings, form new relationships, and pray for the security and prosperity of the state and country.
