Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of funding propaganda to discredit him.
This was in response to an alleged audio recording of a conversation between himself and David Oyedepo, Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel).

According to the audio, Obi asked Bishop Oyedepo to mobilize church support for him on the eve of the presidential election.

Obi stated on Sunday in Abuja, through the Head of Obi Datti Media Office, Diran Onifade, that the mischief planned by those behind the tape will not work.

He claimed that the APC wants to keep power by disseminating false audio files about him.

The former Anambra State governor, however, stated that he is not discouraged and remains committed to reclaiming his mandate from Nigerians through constitutional means.

He stated that, in contrast to the APC, which parades forged credentials and even fake Bishops, the Labour Party has always urged Nigerians not to vote based on ethnic, religious, or other sentimental lines.

He stated:

“It appears that the All Progressives Congress’ desperation to seize and retain power through dubious means has persisted more than a month after they won the election as planned.”

“All of this serves no purpose other than egregious mischief aimed at demarketing Peter Obi.” If the goal was to create a credibility crisis, the ploy failed miserably.

tribe.

“As a result, we will advise our beloved Nigerian people to stay focused on the task of reclaiming the mandate that we know was freely given to Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed through legitimate means.”

“This is more important than expecting those who ran for office on forged credentials, including fake Bishops, to stop faking.” They can’t stop being dishonest because it’s who they are.”
