Angry youths in Delta state stormed the state police command headquarters on Wednesday, April 5, carrying the body of a young man allegedly shot dead over a “N100 bribe” along the Ugbolu-Asara road.
The deceased man, identified as a phone seller in the popular Ogbeogonogo market, was allegedly killed by a state police officer for refusing to pay a bribe of N100.
The demonstrators want justice for the slain phone dealer. They have vowed to continue mobilizing youths for protests until justice is served.
