FCMB founder and multibillionaire businessman Subomi Balogun has passed away

Otunba First City Monument Bank, FCMB, founder Michael Subomi Balogun is said to have died at the age of 89.
Balogun passed away on Friday morning, according to reports, in a hospital in London.

In March, the late Balogun had his 89th birthday. He attended Igbobi College and the London School of Economics to study law. Before the January 1966 coup, he worked as a lawyer in the regional justice ministry and then the federal ministry of justice.

Mr. Balogun entered the banking industry and enlisted in the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB) following the coup.
