I’m not aware Police confiscated Seun Kuti’s firearms license. Seun Kuti’s lawyer, Olumide Adeyinka-Fusika (SAN), has claimed that he is not aware that the police have taken away his client’s gun license.
According to a source who told Punch about the confiscated gun license,
“Only a gun license was discovered by the officers who searched Seun Kuti’s home on Tuesday, and it was taken. I can attest that the command is presently working on the license’s revocation.
Olumide asserted that there is no connection between his client’s case of assaulting a police officer and a license to possess a weapon.
I’m sorry, I’m not aware of this, he said. A license, however, is not a weapon. A gun license is just a piece of paper that allows the holder to own and have possession of a specified piece of arm (gun).
“Besides, what’s the connection between the allegation of slapping a policeman and police seizure of his gun licence?”
