Erik Ten Hag, manager of Manchester United, has stated that his team needs “better players” in order to compete next season.
In his first season, Ten Hag led the Red Devils to the Carabao Cup victory and Champions League qualification.
Thursday night’s 4-1 victory over Chelsea led to the Dutchman’s admission that their hiring this summer must be aggressive.
“We need to work with this squad in the summer, but we also need to strengthen with this squad in the window.
“We want to contend for the championship, but it has to be feasible. What is there is it. There is a lot of work to be done now that we are far away, but we need better players if want to compete for the highest,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
