Kayode Fayemi, a former governor of Ekiti State, is currently being questioned at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s zonal command office in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Reliable sources with knowledge of the development told Punch that Fayemi arrived at the EFCC facility on Thursday at around 9:40 am.
Fayemi arrived at our Kwara command office this morning around 9:40. According to a source, our agents are currently questioning him regarding the alleged theft of N4 billion.
“I’m uncertain as to whether he would be held today or released. He is not the only former governor under investigation by the commission, a different source said.
