Response to Buhari’s declaration of assets with the CCB, which claims that the number of cattle has decreased over the past four years

In compliance with Chapter 6 of the constitution, the former president Muhammadu Buhari has turned in his asset declaration paperwork to the Code of Conduct Bureau, or CCB.

Garba Shehu, Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity, said this on Saturday.

Shehu added that the CCB had sent Buhari an acknowledgment receipt.

Shehu revealed the specifics of the claim in a post on his verified Twitter account, claiming that the number of animals in Buhari’s farm had somewhat decreased as a result of the number of presents he had given away during the previous four years.

He added that aside from the one account he had with Union Bank in Kaduna, the former president’s movable assets had neither increased or been added to.

In accordance with Chapter 6 of the constitution, he said, “Former President Muhammadu Buhari has filed his assets declaration papers to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB. Today, the CCB sent out an acknowledgment receipt.

“The completed statement demonstrates that he did not add any new bank accounts in addition to the one he already had at Union Bank, Kaduna, or increase his movable assets, either at home in Nigeria or abroad. He has no debt and has not taken out any loans.
