Chelsea defender Reece James has explained the team’s disappointing performance from the previous year.
After a season of poor play, Chelsea landed in 12th place in the Premier League and went trophyless.
The Blues were unable to achieve consistency despite having three managers in a single season.
But now James has explained why Chelsea struggled so much during the previous season.
The England legend said that certain players’ habit of already planning their exit contributed to the problem.
It’s going to be a challenging year. James claimed at a news conference that last year was the most challenging of his career (as reported by The Chelsea Chronicle).
“We are moving in the right direction, it was very difficult last season because there was a lot of change, some players did not want to be there because they were not playing,” he continued.
