Carlo Ancelotti, manager of Real Madrid, has said that his team is “complete” without Kylian Mbappé.
Ancelotti made those comments after his team defeated Manchester United 2-0 in a friendly match played in Houston.
Early on, newcomer Jude Bellingham—brought in from Borussia Dortmund for €103 million this summer—found the back of the net, and then fellow summer signing Joselu added a second with a fantastic overhead kick.
Despite losing Karim Benzema and rumors involving Mbappé, Ancelotti remains confident in his current roster.
The team is doing nicely. The team won’t be a problem for us at all. Having a subpar team would be problematic. It’s a fantastic group of people to work with. Ancelotti proclaimed to the press that everything was finished.
When pressed for an answer about Mbappé, he abruptly said, “Next question.”
