After being nominated to the ministerial list, a video of former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike claiming he had no plans to become a minister or vice president began trending online.
Wike is quoted in the viral video as stating,
There can only be one minister from each state, and I don’t want that job. I won’t do that. I am an asset, and Rivers State is a problem.
It’s your own affair, therefore, if you don’t want to get elected. I’m not in charge of the voting process.
Whoever is walking around in the shoes understands exactly where the pinch is.
Both Wike and his Kaduna counterpart, Nasir El-Rufai, were included in the list of potential ministers.
