In the Potiskum local government area of Yobe State, a Keke-NAPEP driver named Nazir Danliti, age 23, was found stabbed to death after having his tricycle stolen.
It was determined that the incident took place on a Tuesday.
Danliti’s uncle, Mohammed Mukhtar Umar, told reporters that his nephew had left for work on a commercial tricycle (a “Keke-NAPEP”) on Tuesday of last week, but had not returned.
The next morning at 9 a.m., we went looking for him, and we discovered his body on the Damaturu by-pass Road (in the Hawan Malka Quarters). The NAPEP bike was stolen, and the robbers got away.
DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Yobe State Command, confirmed the event to the media and added, “the police are on the trail of the perpetrators.”
To refresh your memory, the Command has just issued a request that the citizens of the state always provide accurate information and reports on any suspicious activities, locations, or individuals to the Police and sister security organizations working in the state.
