Ex-France defender William Gallas has expressed skepticism about Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League next season.
According to Gallas, the Gunners don’t have enough “personality and character” to win it all.
Mikel Arteta’s squad spent almost 240 days at the top of the table last season, but ultimately ended behind Manchester City.
Arsenal’s title hopes were dashed after they drew consecutive games against Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton.
For the second time, Gallas believes his old club will come close but fall short.
In an interview with Gambling Zone, he predicted, “I’m sure Arsenal will get very close to winning the title this season, but I don’t think they will be crowned champions in May.”
Because they didn’t demonstrate them towards the end of last season, “I think Arsenal are lacking the character and personality to become champions.”
