Arsenal has agreed to sell American goalkeeper Matt Turner

Matt Turner, the Arsenal goalkeeper, has left Mikel Arteta’s side to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis this summer.
On Wednesday, the Gunners made the announcement via their website.

This comes just a few days before Arsenal’s Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Arsenal’s Sporting Director Edu responded, according to the club’s website:

“On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to thank Matt for his contributions to Arsenal and wish him and his family all the best in their new chapter.”

Turner joined Arsenal in June 2022 from the MLS’s New England Revolution.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper made seven appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, keeping four clean sheets.
