The Premier League has implemented a new stoppage time policy similar to that of the 2022 World Cup in an effort to reduce unnecessary delays.
To quote the EPL:
It’s an effort to better calculate extra time in accordance with the most recent recommendations from the International Football Association Board.
It’s hardly a fluke if a game has 10 minutes added on before halftime.
Some coaches and football players have criticized the rule, but those of us who indulge in sports betting are pleased with it.
